The Frost Village Neighborhood is a revived area that encompasses the green space along the Sandusky River known as Frost Parkway and the historic Fort Ball neighborhood.

Frost Parkway History

The history of the Frost Parkway and Tiffin dates back to 1812. The familiar bronze statue of “The Indian Maiden” standing on Frost Parkway, near Miami Street, marks the site of Fort Ball, which was a military depot during the War of 1812.

Neighborhood Amenities

  • Deli-Cafe – the Deli-Cafe at Frost Village is a New York-style deli with artisan sandwiches, drinks, and desserts. The perfect place to grab a bit to eat while you’re staying with us.
  • Walking paths – Stroll along the Sandusky River or take in the architecture throughout the neighborhood. 
  • Shopping – Steps away is Ralph’s Joy of Living, a unique store filled with a little bit of everything including a great selection of beer and wine. Cross over the river and you’ll be in the heart of Downtown Tiffin with plentiful shopping options.
  • Historical Museum – The Seneca County Museum is just around the corner on Clay Street. Filled with the unique history of Tiffin and the surrounding area.
  • Historic Train Depot – Built in 1862, the Tiffin Train Depot once served as a passenger train depot, but now serves as a place for social events, hosting various community programs.

Holiday Lights

The Christmas season has a special kind of magic in Frost Village. Many of the properties are beautifully decorated, along with the holiday light display along the river – it’s a wonderful time to visit! Annually, the holiday light season kicks-off the first Friday of December and runs through early January. 

About Tiffin

Located in Northwest Ohio, Seneca County covers 553 sq. miles and includes the cities of Tiffin and Fostoria, as well as many villages. Seneca County was created in 1820 and officially organized in 1824. It is named for the Seneca Indians, the westernmost nation of the Iroquois Confederacy, which was based in present-day New York but had a territory into Pennsylvania and Ohio. Seneca County offer unique and memorable experiences and its beauty is sure to please anyone who crosses its path!
